A 48-year-old Prairie du Chien man has been charged in Crawford County Circuit Court with one count of possession of methamphetamine as a party to a crime, and one count of possession of marijuana as a party to a crime (repeater).

Patrick Tesar Sr. faces up to $11,000 in fines and four years of imprisonment if convicted of both counts.

According to the criminal complaint, Patrick Tesar Sr. and Patrick Tesar Jr. both resided in the same motel room. Officers knew that Tesar Jr. was on probation for a drug offense and was in possession of a device that would provide a sample of urine other than his own.

The complaint said that officers knocked on the door and were let in. Both Tesar Sr. and Tesar Jr. were present. Officers found a bottle labeled “fake urine,” a digital scale with green plant residue on it, a small plastic baggie containing a white crystalline residue, a spoon with a cotton ball and burn marks on it, and a plastic baggie containing a quantity of green plant material.

The white crystalline residue and the green plant material tested positive for meth and marijuana, respectively.

Tesar Jr. has also been charged in Crawford County Circuit Court with one count of possession of meth as a party to a crime (repeater), and one count of possession of marijuana as a party to a crime (repeater).

He faces up to $11,000 in fines and four years of imprisonment if convicted of both counts.
