Jeanne M. Ruehlow
Jeanne M. Ruehlow, 63, of Savannah, Ga., and originally from Prairie du Chien, passed on Saturday, Oct. 27.
Jeanne was born on Nov. 11, 1954, to the late William J. and Ellen “Honey” A. (Kramer) Walker, who raised six girls in Prairie du Chien. Jeanne graduated from Prairie du Chien High School in 1973 and then from Upper Iowa University.
Jeanne married Donald C. Ruehlow in 1977, and together they had two children, Nicole and Daniel.
Jeanne is survived by her husband, Donald, of 41 years; her daughter, Nicole (Evan) Sundry of Bloomington, Minn.; three of the cutest grandchildren, Weston, Henry and Samuel; five sisters, Jo Ann (Joe) Kalafut, of Surprise, Ariz.; Janice (Richard) Korish, of Cashton; Jackie (Bill) Hilleshiem, of Waterville, Iowa; Jill (Steve) Bunders, of Prairie du Chien; and Jayne Prew, of Seneca; and several wonderful and fun nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her amazing son, Daniel Ruehlow; her parents, William and Ellen Walker; niece and goddaughter, Terri Hilleshiem; and great-nephew, Karston Burt.
A celebration of Jeanne’s life will be held at the Garrity Funeral Home, Prairie du Chien, at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11. The service will be preceded by a visitation starting at 1 p.m. A private burial service at the Calvary Cemetery in Prairie du Chien will be announced at a later date.
