Several area schools converged upon LaRiviere Park for the Prairie du Chien Invitational cross country meet on a relatively hot Thursday afternoon.

The meet is a bit different in that runners from different schools compete together on five teams called the Pacemakers, Voyageurs, Prairie Dogs, Lead Miners and Joggernauts.

Many runners wore various colors of paint and designs on their faces and arms and it was a fun meet for all involved.

In the boys' meet, the Joggernauts took first place, followed by the Lead Miners, Pacemakers, Prairie Dogs and Voyageurs.

The Prairie Dogs won the girls meet. Next came the Pacemakers, Lead Miners, Voyageurs and the Joggernauts.
