Georgina M. Mullikin, 88, of Prairie du Chien, passed away Thursday, Aug. 9, at the Great River Care Center in McGregor, Iowa.

She was born Sept. 11, 1929, in Wauzeka, the daughter of John and Grace (Mills) Emery. She married Clifford Mullikin on Sept. 16, 1950. He preceded her in death on July 2, 1998. Georgina enjoyed sewing and loved making doll dresses. 

She is survived by her children Susan Schultz and Cheryl Cooley, both of Prairie du Chien, Judy (Ted) Schott, of Fredericksburg, Iowa, and Wayne (Lynn) Mullikin, of Wisconsin Rapids; her brother Richard (Shirley) Emery, of Wauzeka; her sister “Pat” Cora (Ken) Nelson, of Sun Prairie; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by her son Allen; two sons-in-law Thomas Cooley and James Schultz; her brothers, LaVon, Jack and Virgil Emery; a sister Janice Bintz; and a great grandson.

According to Georgina’s wishes there will be no formal funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. A luncheon will be Saturday, Aug. 18, at 2 p.m., at Susan Schultz’s home; 56 Joyce Ave., Prairie du Chien, WI 53821. The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family.
