Car strikes utility pole

On July 27, at 7:28 p.m., the Crawford County Communications Center received a report of a one-vehicle traffic crash on Wall Ridge Road at Betty Lane in the township of Eastman. 

Ali D. Woods, 17, Ferryville, was operating a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze eastbound on Wall Ridge Road. While attempting to negotiate a curve at Betty Lane, the Woods’ vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and struck a Scenic Rivers Energy Cooperative utility pole. 

Woods was wearing her seatbelt and was not injured in the crash. The vehicle sustained severe damage to the front passenger side. Woods was cited for failure to maintain control. 

Assisting on scene were the Eastman Fire Department, Scenic Rivers Energy and Bob’s Towing.
