Howard A. Hauboldt
Howard A. Hauboldt, 80, of Prairie du Chien, and formerly of Milwaukee, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 23, at his home.
He was born Jan. 11, 1938, in Milwaukee, the son of Herman and Helen (Guzda) Hauboldt. He served in the U.S. Navy following the Korean Conflict. Howard became a law enforcement officer for the City of Brookfield, in 1961 where he served until his retirement in 1997. He was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed corvettes, raising horses and was an avid boater and motorcyclist. He was a member of the Wisconsin Professional Policeman’s Association and the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by his son Robert Hauboldt, of Racine; his daughter Leigh Ann (Lee) Wienstien, of Blue Bell, Penn.; his brother Robert (Holly) Hauboldt, of Brookfield; and his granddaughter Samantha.
According to Howard’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family.
