Prairie du Chien ousted visiting Lancaster 8-4 in a WIAA Division 3 Regional baseball game Tuesday afternoon.
Prairie scored a run in the bottom of the first inning to take a 1-0 lead.
Lancaster scored twice in the top of the second to lead 2-1.
The Blackhawks rallied for 4 runs in the third to regain the advantage, 5-2.
The Flying Arrows scored 2 runs in the fourth to get to within 5-4.
Prairie scored the final 3 runs of the game in the sixth for the 8-4 victory.
Prairie had 12 hits and committed 4 errors. Lancaster had 6 hits and committed 2 errors.
Gavin Gillitzer was 2x4 with a double and 3 runs scored for Prairie du Chien. Grant Martin was 3x4 with an RBI and a run. Drake Coleman went 2x3 with a double and 4 RBI. Cory Check went 2x3 with an RBI. Mark Welter was 1x3 with an RBI. Clayton DuCharme was 1x3. Tyler Smock was 1x3.
Check picked up the win from the hill. He started the game, striking out 3 and walking 4 while allowing 5 hits in 4 innings. Ryan McGrath walked 1 and gave up 1 hit in 3 innings.
Prairie du Chien improved to 16-1-1 on the season. The conference champs were 10-0 in the SWC. They will host Fennimore at 4:30 p.m. on May 30 in the regional final. Prairie du Chien has beaten Fennimore twice so far this season.
