New representation will be seated at the Prairie du Chien Common Council first ward chair at future meetings, as a result of Tuesday’s election. Newcomer Nathan Bremmer, a Crawford County Deputy Sheriff, clinched the race with 88 votes, while three-term incumbent, Ron Leys, a retired journalist, received 50 votes, according to city election results.
Bremmer is a 2005 Prairie du Chien High School graduate. He told the Courier Press last month that, despite having little government politics experience, he has always been greatly interested in the various levels of public policy.
