Higgins, Peterson, Achenbach elected to PdC School Board

One incumbent and two newcomers won election to the Prairie du Chien School Board as a result of the April 3 Election.

Incumbent Lonnie Achenbach, and newcomers Thomas Peterson and Michael Higgins each won three-year terms on the board.

Incumbent Board President Christine Panka, who ran as a certified write-in candidate, was not re-elected. Incumbent Duane Rogers was also defeated.

Higgins led all candidates with 804 votes. Peterson had 729. Achenbach had 673. Rogers garnered 624 and Panka had 364. There were 3 scattered votes and 315 undervotes, which all occurred in the city of Prairie du Chien.

Higgins had 489 votes in the city of Prairie du Chien. Peterson had 451, Rogers 396, Achenbach 376 and Panka 250.
