Faye Marie Kautman, 75, passed away on Feb. 27, at Crossing Rivers Health Hospice in Prairie du Chien. 

 

Faye was born in Prairie du Chien, to Alden and Sarah (Shulka) Tippery on Sept. 24, 1942. On Aug. 29, 1959, Faye was united in marriage to Donald Joseph Kautman. Faye was a very hard worker, she was employed by Montgomery Ward and 3M for over 20 years. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of the hummingbirds, along with crocheting, sewing and knitting in her earlier years. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s activities. 

 

She is survived by her children, Sarah (Scott) Miller, of McGregor, Kimberly (Richard) Brooks, of McGregor, Mark (Nikki) Kautman, of Luana; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two brothers, Ken (Nancy) Tippery, of Lodi, Wis., and Tom (Jean) Tippery, of Union Mills, Ind.; two sisters, Mary (Fred) Thro, of Madison, Wis., and Peggy (Perre) Able, of Marquette. 

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; a son Donald Jr.; a daughter Karri; her parents, Alden and Sarah; a stepmother, Lena; three brothers, Larry Tippery, Jerry Tippery, Delford Pitzer. 

 

Faye will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. The family extends an invitation to join them at a luncheon at Swede Ridge First Lutheran Church, McGregor, at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, March 10. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to the Mar Mac Rescue Squad or Crossing Rivers Health Hospice.
