Roger C. Granzow, 88, of Eastman, passed away Thursday, Jan. 18, at the Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born Nov. 29, 1929, in Prairie du Chien, the son of Charles and Bernice (George) Granzow. He married Lorraine Lee on Dec. 29, 1951, and the two moved to the farm in Eastman, which they called home for 65 years. Roger was a quiet, honest man who enjoyed snowmobiling, roller skating and square dancing. He was a dedicated farmer who loved his tractor, truck and riding lawnmower. Anyone that knew him, knew that he was the most honorable, loyal and hard-working man around. He loved his family, and took great pride in his farm. Lorraine preceded him in death on Oct. 29, 2014.

He is survived by three daughters, Cheryl Trentin, of Eastman, Pam (Ron) Lawrence, of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Renee (Ramon) Aspenson, of Onalaska; six grandchildren, Dax, Kristin, Chad, Greg, Alexandra and Jordan; eight great-grandchildren, Cayson, Caitlyn, Knox, Kruse, Lilah, Amelia, Sydney and Luke.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a granddaughter Kiley Aspenson.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Jan. 23, at 1 p.m., at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien, Rev. Lynn Schreck officiating, with burial in the National Cemetery in Eastman. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred that the family will distribute to charities Roger supported.
