Donna Mae Radloff was born on August 9, 1922, the daughter of Donald and Lillian (Vogt) Oleke in Farmersburg, Iowa. She was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Farmersburg, Iowa in 1936. After high school Donna married Homer Moritz.  They were blessed with three children, David, Paul and Mary. Homer passed away in 1950. Donna later married Charles Dohrer; this union was blessed with one daughter, Kathrine. In 1963 Chuck passed away. Ten years later she married, James (Bud) Courtney, who passed away four years later. On February 2, 1977, Donna married school classmate, Ken Radloff.  They were married 37 years until his passing in August 2016.
Donna loved to be around water, whether it was the Mississippi or the lakes of Alexandria.  She enjoyed catching fish when she was younger and later fed the fish off the dock at the lake.  She was an avid reader until her macular degeneration progressed preventing her from doing what she loved. Ken and Donna spent 35 winters in Donna, Texas at Victoria Palms Resort and Court. They hosted many parties and helped provide the entertainment for the court. They volunteered at Knapp Medical Center for the last fifteen years until Ken’s health forced them to move closer to family. Donna was a very social person and loved to visit with all people. She enjoyed bingo with the girls every Thursday taking part in this fun until just weeks before her passing.
Donna passed away peacefully at home in Alexandria under the care of Knute Nelson Hospice on Saturday, December 16, 2017. She is survived by her children, David (Diana) Moritz, Mary Anderson and Kathrine (Jim) Granlund; siblings, Sharon Chapman and Kerry Ann (Joe) Schiro. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Homer Moritz, Charles Dohrer, James Courtney and Kenneth Radloff; son, Paul Moritz; son-in-law, Ken Anderson; siblings, Marinette Olsen and Calvin Oleke.
A Celebration of Life and a private burial will take place at a later date. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria, Minnesota. www.andersonfuneral.net
