A vehicle versus pedestrian accident in Prairie du Chien resulted in no serious injuries, according to the Prairie du Chien Police Department.

On Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 12:27 p.m., an 18-year-old pedestrian, Thomas Cota, of Prairie du Chien, was walking east in the crosswalk at Marquette Road and Wells Street. He was struck by a southbound 1997 GMC Savana van driven by Charles Rice, 66, of Mount Hope.

According to authorities, the Rice vehicle failed to yield to the pedestrian and struck Cota, knocking him to the ground. Cota was transported by private vehicle to Crossing Rivers Health where he was later released with no injuries.
The case remains under investigation.
