Man cited in one-car crash
An area man was cited after the vehicle he was driving crashed on Highway 35 Saturday evening, Aug. 26, according to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department.
At 5:33 p.m., the sheriff department received a report of a one-vehicle accident in Prairie du Chien township, on State Highway 35, about three-tenths of a mile north of Cliffwood Drive. A southbound 2001 Chevy Cavalier, owned and operated by Raymond Torgerson, 57 of Wauzeka, went into the ditch on the east side of the road, came back on the road, crossed the centerline and then left the east side of the highway again. It came to rest in brush on a hillside. Torgerson claimed no injuries, official said.
Torgerson was cited for failure to have vehicle under control. The sheriff’s department said it is not certain how much damage the vehicle received.
Milo’s Towing assisted at the scene.
