Frank L. Lenz
Frank L. Lenz, 83, of Prairie du Chien, passed away on Monday, May 15, at his residence in Prairie du Chien.
He was born Sept. 2, 1933, in Wauzeka. He was the son of John and Alice (Johnson) Lenz. He married Margaret “Marge” Whiteaker on March 17, 1952, at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Montgomeryville, Clayton Township, in Crawford County.
As a young man, Frank worked as a cook on the railroad. A few years later he started working for Standard Oil as an Independent Carrier. Later in life he work with his wife as a property manager for the Meridian Corporation.
Frank loved the outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish with his sons and grandsons. Frank was a kind, loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife Marge Lenz, of Prairie du Chien, two daughters Wanda (Tony) Bell, of Oxford, Cathy (Roger) Lund, of Prairie du Chien; two sons Frank Lenz, of Waterloo, and Randy (Nancy) Lenz, of Oxford; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two brothers John (Mary) Lenz, of Florida, Robert (Jane) Lenz, of Wauzeka, one sister Mary (Frank) Maxwell, of Milton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard Lenz.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 3, at 11 a.m., at Century Hall in Wauzeka. Pastor Joe Irvin and Marvin Whiteaker co-officiating. Burial in the Wauzeka Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday, June 3, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at Century Hall in Wauzeka. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
