Doreen C. Wagner, 61, of Fennimore, died on Wednesday afternoon May 10, at her residence surrounded by her beloved family. 

 

She was born on March 14, 1956, in Lancaster the daughter of Warren & Lucille (Bailie) Koeller. Doreen was united in marriage to Kenneth Wagner on May 4, 1985. Doreen graduated from Potosi High School and then received her dietician degree from the Southwest Technical College. “Doreen Doreen the Cooking Machine” was the women behind the scenes, cooking and providing so many awesome entrees at the Cottonwood Supper Club in Fennimore for many years. Doreen had been employed as a cook at Fennimore Good Samaritan Society until she retired due to her health on April 4. 

 

She loved cooking, watching birds, traveling, gardening and spending time with her dogs. Doreen’s passions in life were her love for her husband, children, grandchildren and dedication to her places of work. At the end of the day, everyone was family to Doreen. Her kind spirit and gentle soul will be deeply missed.  

 

Doreen is survived by her two children Sara Wagner, of Horicon, and Bill Wagner, of Yokosuka, Japan; four stepchildren Lisa Baumgard, of Sierra Madre, Calif., Shari (Chris) Larson, of Menomonie, Joe (Sharon) Wagner, of Oshkosh, Bob Wagner, of Onalaska; nine grandchildren Sean and Colin Baumgard, Kate, Alex, Ben and Jacob Larson, Jonas, Jack, and Anna Wagner; mother Lucille Koeller, of Lancaster; siblings John Koeller, of Prairie du Chien; Judy (Larry) Maahs and Linda (Bob) Schmelz, both of Potosi; several nieces; nephews; and many more special family members of the Koeller, Bailie, and Wagner families. 

 

Doreen was preceded in death by her beloved husband Kenneth on Dec. 7, 2004; her father, Warren Koeller, on July 8, 2013; and other dear members of the Koeller, Bailie, and Wagner families. 

 

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 15, at the Fennimore United Methodist Church with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Fennimore.
