shut out Cuba City

The Prairie du Chien Blackhawks defeated Cuba City 3-0 on Monday as Gavin Gillitzer, Cory Check and Chas Sagedahl combined to throw a 2-hit shutout at the St. Feriole Island Ballpark.

The Blackhawks collected 6 hits. Drake Coleman and Jon Dyer each had 2 hits including a double by Coleman. Sagedahl also had a double.

Gillitzer earned the win. He tossed 5 innings, giving up 0 runs , 2 hits, striking out 4 and walking 0. Check and Sagedahl threw the 6th and 7th innings respectively, and held the Cubans hitless to complete the shutout.

The Blackhawks improved to 7-1 and 2-0 in conference.
