Virginia (Jeanie) Arlene Doll, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, 95, of Wauzeka, died on March 23, at Boscobel Care and Rehab., Boscobel, after a long period of declining health. 

 

Jeanie was born on March 24, 1921, in Wauzeka. She was the daughter of Eva and Frank Lewig. Jeanie lived her life in the Wauzeka area where she met and married Philip Doll and lived on the family farm on Wauzeka Ridge. Jeanie was a talented artist and she loved to hunt and fish.

 

She is survived by her three children Constance Mara, of Sanibel, Fla., John (Judy) Doll, of Prairie du Chien, and David (Laurie) Doll, of Wauzeka; eight grandchildren Bryan (Traci) Mara, of Willmar, Minn., Michelle (Matthew) Gasser, of Arvada, Colo., Jeff (Bret) Doll, of Holman, Jenny Doll, of Prairie du Chien, Jason (Dharma) Doll, of Bloomington, Jenni (Kurt) Wehrle, of Prairie du Chien,  and Emily (Kenneth) Buck, of Wauzeka. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren, Kessa and Kennedy Mara, Leon and Leslie Gasser, Sasha and Ivan Doll, Kahley Doll, Victoria, Eva, and Anna Doll, Amelia and Cameron Wehrle, and Kenneth, Isabel, and James Buck. Also special to Jeanie, is her niece, Roni (Gary) Gundlach, of Wauzeka, and their children, Michelle (Joe) Quick, Eric Gundlach, of Indianapolis area. 

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Phil, and her sister Lorraine. 

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 27, at 11 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church with burial in the Wauzeka Cemetery both in Wauzeka. Friends may call on Monday at the Sacred Heart Church Hall from 9 a.m.until the time of services. The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family.
