Kevin Clair Hedeman, 61, of Raleigh, N.C., passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 18, at Wake Med Hospital. 

 

He was born on Oct. 2, 1955, in McGregor, to Elmer and Nelda Hedeman. He lived most of his life in McGregor and Raleigh.

 

Kevin was a humble, kind and passionate man who dearly loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He worked as a flooring installer with his son. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing his guitar, spending time with his children and grandchildren and watching TV (especially cooking shows). In addition, he served as an elder and loving shepherd at the Umstead Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. 

 

Kevin was extremely loving and proud of his wife, Susan, of 39 years; three children, Jason Hedeman and his wife Mari Beth, of Wake Forest, N.C., Amaris Balkus and her husband David, of Youngsville, N.C., and Ariana Tracy and her husband Brandon, of Raleigh, N.C. He is also survived by his sisters Rinda (Terry) Ferguson, Diane (Richard) Dohse, and Marlys (Albert) Hill, all of Marquette; his brothers Brian (Terry) Hedeman, of St. Paul, Minn., Scott (Annette) Hedeman, of Cedar Rapids; as well as his many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends.

 

The memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Saturday March 25, at 4:30 p.m. Arrangements will be made for individuals to listen in via telephone if they are unable to attend the memorial in person.
