More than 50 participate in Shamrock Shuffle
More than 50 people did not let the 15-degree temperature stop them from participating in Saturday morning’s Shamrock Shuffle 5K Fun Run/Walk!
Almost $300 was raised for the Hoffman Hall Improvement Fund and participants donated more than 90 pounds of food to the local food pantry.
Congratulations to Patrick and Alli Klein of Prairie du Chien, with Patrick finishing first overall in 16 minutes and 4 seconds and Alli finishing as the first female in 19 minutes and 25 seconds. Additional accolades to Robert Groom of Prairie du Chien who was the first participant under 18 years old to finish in 29 minutes and 58 seconds.
This was the fourth year for the Shamrock Shuffle with great appreciation to Mike Ulrich and the Parks and Recreation Department, Cassie Hubanks and Kristina Linde, the Prairie du Police Department, McDonalds, Wal-Mart, Kwik Trip, Dunkin Donuts, DyeSport, Fort Mulligans, Eddie’s Irish Pub, The Blackhawk, O’Reilly’s, Jim’s Bar, Leisure Time, and Prairie Cinema. Everyone is appreciated for continuing to support this event.
“We can’t wait to see everyone again next year for the Fifth Annual Prairie du Chien Shamrock Shuffle,” said Parks and Recreation Director Mike Ulrich.
