The Horseshoe Tavern, of rural Prairie du Chien, donated $2,606 in proceeds from its Feb. 25 rabbit hunt gun raffles to the Crawford County Ridge Runner UTV/ATV Club, which will use the funds toward purchasing signs for the trails. There were 32 teams that participated in the rabbit hunt, including 128 people of all ages. Others who didn’t hunt also came out for a good time and to take a chance on the gun raffles. Pictured (from left) are Grant and Greg Russell and Vicki and Royce Walters. The Russells represented the Horsehoe and all are founders of the club, which meets the first Wednesday of every month at various sponsoring-taverns around Crawford County. Recently, Freeman Township and the village of Wauzeka passed ordinances allowing their roadways to serve as UTV/ATV trails. To join the Ridge Runners, call Vicki, treasurer, at (608) 875-5044 or find the club on Facebook. (Photo by Correne Martin)
