A Dubuque man was arrested on multiple charges, including drugs and alcohol offenses, after he allegedly used his vehicle to crash into locked gates at the Bagley wastewater treatment facility, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Department.

On Saturday, Feb. 11, at about 11 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a phone call from an employee of the village of Bagley who reported a possible burglary and a suspicious vehicle at the sewer plant. Deputies arrived on scene and found a white vehicle parked in the back of the property. The vehicle attempted to flee but stopped near the front gate.

After further investigation, it was discovered that Jason Feuerhelm, 31, had attempted to exit the property by repeatedly crashing his vehicle into the locked front gates, causing substantial damage to the village gates and moderate damage to his vehicle, the sheriff’s department said.

Feuerhelm was arrested for criminal damage to property, trespassing, theft, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and an active warrant through the Department of Corrections. Feurerhelm was also cited for operating a motor vehicle while revoked and for open intoxicants in a motor vehicle.
