Eugene C. Caylor, 80, of Prairie du Chien. passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10, at the Crossing Rivers Hospital in Prairie du Chien.

 

He was born Sept. 1, 1936, in Steubenville, Ohio, the son of Charles and Margaret (Held) Caylor. Gene served in the U.S. Army Reserves for over 14 years. He was married to Carolyn McFarling, who later preceded him in death on July 25, 2005. He worked for John Morel and later for Oscar Mayer Meats until his retirement. He enjoyed his retirement years in the Bagley area. Gene was a past member of the Masonic Lodge.

 

He is survived by his daughter, Lisa (David) Marini of Andover, Mass., his son Ray Caylor, of Belmont, his sister Judy Caylor, of California, his grandchildren Marcus, Morgan and Brady.

 

A graveside service will be held later in the Bagley Cemetery in Bagley. The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family.
