Clarence Eugene Heisz, 76, of Eastman, died on Dec. 31, at his home.

Clarence Eugene was born on Jan. 1, 1940, in Eastman, Wisconsin to Michael and Hulda (Messling) Heisz. He graduated from Seneca High School in 1958 and continued his education at the University of Wisconsin-Plattville, where he graduated with a Bachelors in Education. Clarence was a lifelong farmer working with his parents until their passing. He was also a truck driver for Bassett Trucking. Clarence enjoyed wood carving and he was a patient, honest man who was liked by all who knew him. 

Clarence is survived by his three nieces, Doris (John) Croft, of Claremore, Okla., Diana Hope, of Indianapolis, Ind., and Lori (Ken) Ross, of Eastman; one nephew, Richard (Linda) Parker, of Dexter, Mo.; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Hulda (Messling) Heisz and sister, Alvalene “Evie” Heisz. 

Mass of the Resurrection was held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, at Our Lady of Grace Church, Seneca, with Reverend Father Carlos Borja as the Celebrant. Burial followed at National Cemetery, Eastman.

Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Prairie du Chien, assisted the family with arrangements.
