Mary C. McKillip
Mary C. McKillip, 67, of Mt. Horeb passed away suddenly Sunday, Dec. 18, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, lovingly surrounded by her family.
She was born March 4, 1949, in Prairie du Chien, the daughter of Joseph and Irene (Arris) Paulus. She married Gary McKillip on Oct. 14, 1972, at St. John’s Church in Prairie du Chien. She worked as a manager of an insurance company in the Madison area for many years until her retirement. Mary loved crafting, baking the best desserts and taking Sunday drives, but most of all, spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Gary, of Mt. Horeb; her sons, Quinn and Ryan (Colleen), both of Mt. Horeb; and granddaughter Henley; and future grandson on the way; her siblings, Faye (Ken) Johnson, Dennis (Sharon) Paulus and Luann Paulus, all of Prairie du Chien; and Diane Sime, of Monona, Iowa; nieces and nephews, Joseph, Jessica, Kent, Jeryl, Daniel, Bill, John and Kyle. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, Dec. 23, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Church of the Holy Family Parish, Rev. James Weighner officiating with inurnment in the Calvary Cemetery both in Prairie du Chien. Friends may call on Thursday, Dec. 22, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien, where there will be a wake scripture at 7:30 p.m., and also at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
