PdC man, Iowa woman charged with meth possession

A 30-year-old Prairie du Chien man has been charged in Crawford County Circuit Court with one count of possession of methamphetamine (repeater).

Kyle L. Vanderbilt faces up to 3.5 years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted.

A 35-year-old Garber, Iowa woman has also been charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine arising from the same incident.

Tamara Messler faces up to 3.5 years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted.

According to the criminal complaint, the vehicle Messler was driving was stopped by a Prairie du Chien police officer because Messler’s driving privileges were suspended. Vanderbilt was a passenger in the Messler vehicle.

Vanderbilt was searched and a baggie with meth residue was found, according to the complaint. Messler was also searched and a baggie containing meth residue was found, the complaint said.
