The Prairie du Chien Area Chamber of Commerce annual holiday parade will be held Friday, Dec. 2, at 5:30 p.m. Any business or organization wishing to participate in the parade is asked to begin lining-up at 5 p.m. on St. Feriole Island.

There is no fee to participate. Spectators can kick off the holiday season by lining the downtown and enjoying the spectacular lighted floats and holiday music.

Join Friends of the Villa Louis and Villa Louis staff as they celebrate the tradition of Prairie du Chien’s holiday parade at the historic Knowlton House, at 109 W. Blackhawk Ave. Stop by before and after the parade and sip on delicious hot apple cider and hot chocolate. There will also be a selection of gifts on hand from the Villa Louis museum gift shop. After the parade, be sure to bring your camera and snap a photo of the kiddos with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Also, plan to do a little shopping downtown after the parade. Bundle up and head down to Blackhawk Avenue for this year’s festivities. For more information on how you can participate, contact the chamber office at 326-8555.
