Mary Ruth Bean, 84, of Bagley, died Friday, Nov. 11, at Orchard Manor in Lancaster. 

 

Mary Bean was born Feb. 2, 1932, at Patch Grove. She was the daughter of William and Clara (Griest) Campbell. Mary received her education in Patch Grove, graduating with the class of 1950. On May 20, 1952, she was united in marriage to Arden Edward Bean in Prairie du Chien. She and her husband Arden farmed their entire career in the Bagley area. 

 

She is survived by one son, David Bean, of Bagley; one sister, Nellie Bouzek, of Prairie du Chien; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. 

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arden in 2002; a daughter, Diane Bean; three brothers, Bud, David and Norman Campbell; and two sisters, Joyce Egelston and Betty Braudt. 

 

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Prairie du Chien. The Rev. Erika Kielstrup will officiate. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. before services on Tuesday at the funeral home in Prairie du Chien. Interment will be at the Brodtville Cemetery, rural Bagley. The Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation service in Prairie du Chien is assisting the family.
