Did you ever play in band and would like to play again? Here is your chance!   

Guttenberg German Band members, along with the school band and any area musicians who care to participate, will make up a municipal band for a program in the high school gym to honor the veterans in the area on Nov. 11 at 10 a.m. 

This will be a program in front of the entire Clayton Ridge School body, including St. Mary's/IC School, involving all the veteran organizations in Guttenberg and Garnavillo, plus the music programs in the school. Some of the faculty will also be involved and have been the highlight of the programs in the past.

Practice dates

We will have three evening practices in the high school band room at 7 p.m. on Nov. 3, Nov. 8 and Nov. 10, and one short practice at 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 11. 

Maybe you cannot make all the practices, but you would be welcome at any and all practices. It is always fun to play alongside the school band and show them we still can play.  We would love to see a good turnout of area members to help us put on a good program in honor of the Veterans.

Even if you are not able to play in the band, please come to the gym and help us honor the Veterans on their day, Nov. 11.

Everyone is welcome; veterans and military personnel are especially encouraged to attend this program.
