Thomas Grant Pace, 78, of Bagley, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at Atrium Post Acute Care in Lancaster. 

He was born Aug. 15, 1938, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Myron and Marie (Ruh) Pace. Tom lived in Bagley, and other exciting places. He served in United States Marine Corp. from 1957 to 1961. Tom enjoyed traveling the world, reading and gaining knowledge from many sources. He was constantly seeking information and interesting people to learn from. He was a very avid collector and loved going to auctions. His life work consisted of many things including siding salesman, roofer and construction.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; brother Lyle Pace; sisters Treva Trine, Shirley Satter and Jean Kelley; nephew Bruce Bailey; niece Carol Schultz; and great-nephews: Ben Bailey and Mitch Pace.

He is survived by nephews Gary Pace and Mike Bailey; nieces Terri Bailey Leffler, Patti Pace Blabaum, Jody Bailey and Kathy Kelley Hoffman; many great-nephews and nieces along with their families and also his special close friends Gary Adams and Jeff and Deb Umhoefer, who all loved him dearly and will miss him and also sharing Uncle Tom’s great stories of his many adventures, life stories and words of wisdom!

Grave side services with military honors will be in Bagley Cemetery, Bagley, on Sunday, Oct. 23, at noon with Pastor Pamela Strakeljahn officiating.
