Dennis Roland Andert, 72, of Ferryville, passed away Sept. 27, from pancreatic cancer.

Dennis was born in Milwaukee on March 24, 1944. He graduated from Custer High School, class of 1962. Dennis joined the Army Reserves completing six years of service.

Dennis worked as a Commercial Printing Pressman for W.A. Krueger for 41 years. He enjoyed farming, pheasant and grouse hunting, and fishing. He was actively involved in the Crawford County Tourism Council and Seneca Community Club. He enjoyed shooting trap with his friends and also loved watching the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers. Dennis especially enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren’s sporting events.

Dennis  is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Dwana; daughters Kimberly (Jason Vanderwerff); Kelly (Adam Dieball); sister Debbi (Rob Spaude); brother-in-law Bob Griepentrog; Aunt Phyllis Punzel and Aunt Marion Gottschalk; step-children Katrina (Chad Loebel); Kristopher Dunning and Kristi Khiudin); Kayla Dunning and Brad Klade; grandchildren Jacob, Liam, Jaxon, Tegan, Zade and Kai; cousins, nieces and nephews. Dennis is preceded in death by his mother Lois, father Roland, and a sister Pam.

Friends may call upon the family during a Celebration of Life on Friday, Sept. 30, at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, in Gays Mills, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Gays Mills is assisting the family.
