The 19th annual River Park Cruisers Car Show, Cruise and Dance is coming this Saturday, Sept. 17. Come enjoy the day with us, listen to music downtown by “The Mole” during the car show and view hundreds of beautiful classic cars in  Guttenberg on six blocks of River Park Drive.

Early  bird cars will start rolling in at 8 a.m., with registration from 9 a.m. -12 noon and the car show from12 noon-1:30 p.m. The 50/50 drawing will be at approximately 2:15 p.m.

The Car Cruise will follow the show at 2:30 p.m. Car cruisers not participating in the car show and who want to cruise can line up on River Park Drive facing south starting on the 100 block.

The cruise will take us from Guttenberg to Osterdock, Colesburg Road, to Sears Station in Elkport, turn right and go past Plagman Barn, then make a left turn onto Ironwood Road to Hwy. 128 - onto Hwy. 52 and make a right into Garnavillo for a pit stop at the new fire station where the Garnavillo firemen will be serving food and soft beverages for the hungry car cruisers.

From Garnavillo we will cruise back into Guttenberg on Hwy. 52 by 5 p.m. and head on up to Lakeside Ballroom to give trophies away outside of the ballroom at 5:30 p.m.  before the dance.

We will award 66 trophies to the 22 car show classes plus 6 more specialty trophies for Best Ford, Best GM, Best Mopar, Mayors Choice, Best of Show and Best Hotrod.

The dance runs from  7-11 p.m. and “Endless Summer” will be playing your favorite 50’s and 60’s music in the ballroom.
