The Clayton Ridge School Board of Directors met in regular session on Thursday, Aug. 11. Members in attendance were John Heying, Christine Aulwes, Michael Finnegan, Alicia Helle, Ellen Johnson, Jason Reimer and Kathy Ihde.

Superintendent Wahls reported on the receipt of a HAWC Grant of $8,700 to be used for the Eagles Club. Principal Peterson reported on a donation of play clocks from the Gridiron club and letters sent to parents making them aware of changes and upcoming events in the new school year.

Board members made comments regarding the elementary art program and asked administration to send a request to the city for a dust control application or a speed limit sign on the road to the football field parking lot.

The board accepted the resignation of Bill Rodenberg from his head softball coaching position and the resignation of Tonya Pierce from her assistant softball coaching position. The renewal of baseball coaching contracts for Zach Mueller and Tony Smith were approved, as was the resignation of Adam Radcliffe from his position as high school musical co-director.

It was decided to maintain the cost of athletic passes at $60 for students and $75 for adults. The board also approved the sale of a $25 athletic punch card to be made available to Clayton Ridge students only, allowing them to attend 10 athletic events.
