Arvid “Bud” Voshell, 77, of Guttenberg, died Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center Hospice of North Iowa in Mason City.

Visitation was Saturday, July 30, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg. Memorial services followed at the funeral home, conducted by Rev. Penny Hansel.

Inurnment was at Guttenberg City Cemetery, Guttenberg.

Bud was born on May 10, 1939, in New Hampton, the son of Luther and Laura (Ladwig) Voshell.

Bud was known to be a jack of all trades. He spent time working on the family farm, did carpentry work, drove garbage truck, school bus, and eventually retired from many years driving semi for Yellow Freight. On Dec. 31, 1972, Bud was married to Pamela Cole. Bud enjoyed spending time working in his garden, hunting, fishing, playing cards, traveling and even did some weekend security work at Lakeside Ballroom. 

Bud is survived by his wife Pamela; children, Jada (Todd) Mitchell, Ronald (Tracy) Battin, Lori (Kevin) Pritchard, Jane (Pete) Voshell and Wanda Martelle; grandchildren, Emily Battin, Hunter and Alexis Harbaugh, Nicole (Dustin) Helsricks, James (Abby) Caston, Christopher (Brittany) Caston, Ryanne Pritchard, Sidney Pritchard, Sawyer Pritchard and Stacey (Anson) Niesman; several great-grandchildren; three sisters, Esther Saegert, Geneva Patrie and Patricia Vorwald and many other relatives and friends.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Brenda Voshell; four siblings, Marvel Edsill, Arlene Kunkle, Ferne (Carol) Petri and Ivan Voshell.
