Lucille Frances Carnicle, 98, of Prairie du Chien, formerly of Harpers Ferry, Iowa, died Thursday, June 23, at Great River Care Center, McGregor, Iowa. 

Lucille was born on Jan. 21, 1918 in Dubuque, Iowa to Joseph and Margaret (Hienze) Graff. She graduated from high school in Dubuque, Iowa. 

Lucille was united in marriage with Bernard J. Carnicle. She worked at the Battery Factory in Dubuque, Iowa and retired from McGregor Electronics in McGregor, Iowa. Lucille along with her husband, Bernard, farmed in Harpers Ferry, Iowa. She enjoyed fishing, dancing and socializing with her friends. Lucille was very fond of her pets.

Lucille is survived by several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Loyde and Pat Beers of Eastman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Margaret Graff; husband, Bernard Carnicle; and three brothers, Ed, Frank and Joe Graff.

Funeral Services were Monday, June 27, at the Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Prairie du Chein. Rev. Victor Feltes officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, McGregor, Iowa. 

Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Prairie du Chien, assisted the family with arrangements.
