Hemmer retains mayor seat in Prairie du Chien

Prairie du Chien Mayor Dave Hemmer will keep his post after receiving 1,036 votes in the spring election. Challenger John Chaffee collected 517 votes, while there was only one write-in vote cast.

Hemmer was the top vote-getter in all six wards within the city: Ward 1—195-79, Ward 2—187-104, Ward 3—137-76, Ward 4—143-92, Ward 5—180-104, Ward 6—194-62.

For all of the Prairie du Chien Common Council seats up for election, none were contested. Ron Leys, Mike “Stubby” Jones, Karen Solomon and Todd Myers were all re-elected. Incumbents and declared write-ins Todd Crotty and Jean Titlbach both were winners as well.
