Gertrude (Nee Killinger) Myott, entered the fullness of eternal life on Feb. 13, surrounded by her loving family. 

Gertrude was born, one of fourteen children, to Anton and Amelia (nee Eder) Killinger, and raised in Glidden, Wis. After graduating from college, she started her teaching career in a one-room schoolhouse. She taught elementary school for over 30 years; most recently in the West Grant school system.

She was the beloved wife of the late Philip Myott; loving mother of Patricia Amelia (Craig) Martell and Robert Philip (Linda) Myott; cherished grandmother of Caitlin (Theofilus) Rafaelidys and Jillian Martell (Bradley Wood) Johnston; Sean Myott, Nicholas Myott, Michelle Myott, and Sharon (Tim) Wold; proud great-grandmother of Kyriakos Rafaelidys, Jarrett, Justin, Jack and Jeffrey Wold. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Family and friends gathered for the Mass of Christian Burial, which took place on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at St. Eugene’s Catholic Church in Fox Point, Wis. Gertrude was laid to rest next to her husband Philip at Calvary Cemetery in Prairie du Chien. Feerick Funeral Home of Shorewood served the family.
