Scottie (Butch) V. Slaughter, 72, of  Dolan Springs, Ariz. passed away Jan. 14 2016, at Kingman Regional Medical Center, Kingman, Ariz.

Scottie was born Sept. 28 1943 the son of Jessie and Geneva Slaughter of McGregor. Scottie was the baby of his wonderful family, which included his brothers James (Betty) Slaughter, Buddy (Shelby) Slaughter, Bill (Margaret) Slaughter, Clair Slaughter Daniel (Beverly) Slaughter and his sisters Bernice (James) Fite, Emma Jean(Sylvester) Blank, Lulu Belle ( Leonard) Ronnfeldt, and three adopted sisters, Margie, Jeanie, and Barbara.

In 1971 Scottie married the love of his life Janet Ward from Waukon, and to that marriage two wonderful children whom he loved were born, Tom Slaughter and Sara Slaughter both living in Dolan Springs, Ariz. Scottie also has a daughter Vicky Baker from Waterloo, whom he loved very much. 

He had three grandkids, Pixly, Lawrence, Cheyenne; and nine great grandchildren. 

Scottie enjoyed life so much, he loved to work with mechanic always giving a helping hand to those that needed help working on any type of automobiles, in his younger years he did a lot of stock car racing at different race tracks around Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota and he also loved the sport of fishing. When He brought out his deep sea fishing poles you knew it was time to go fishing. He had taken time to teach so many of his nieces and nephews or whoever wanted to learn how to fish, and he would make you laugh until tears was rolling out of your eyes.

Scottie was preceded in death by his parents Jessie and Geneva Slaughter; his brothers Clair, James, Bill; his sisters Bernice, Lulu Belle; his father-in-law Bill Ward and his grandson Cheyenne Robbins. 

Suttons Memorial Funeral Home of Kingman Ariz. is assisted the family
