Ramon Robert “Bob” Brown
Ramon Robert “Bob” Brown, 63, of McGregor, Iowa, passed away at a local hospital on Sept. 7.
Bob was a graduate of Mar-Mac High School and Northeast Iowa Technical Institute. Before encountering a series of health setbacks, Bob was known for his handsome smile, sense of humor and laid-back friendliness.
A private memorial service will be held on a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River where Bob once flew a hang glider 300 feet down to the mighty river. It will be a fitting tribute to a fellow who experienced many adventures in life and worked at a variety of trades from mining in Arizona to painting power plants in Iowa, and from working as draftsman on refuse vehicles to doing carpentry.
He is survived by a large family that includes brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. They will miss him greatly. May he rest in peace.
