Fay L. McCullick, 95, of Wauzeka passed away Saturday, Jan. 10, at the Crossing Rivers Hospital. 

He was born Aug. 29, 1919 in Seneca, the son of Charles and Sadie (Comstock) McCullick. He served in the US Army during WW II in the European Theatre where he was the recipient of four Bronze Stars. He married Dorothy Eckleberry on June 20, 1945 and she later preceded him in death on Oct. 5, 2004. Fay worked as a heavy equipment operator for Becker and Tuckwood Construction in Lancaster. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish with his family. He was a member of the Wauzeka American Legion and was proud to have taken the Honor Flight with his son this past May. 

He is survived by his son Thomas (Sandy) McCullick of Wauzeka; his sisters, Betty Crusan and Mavis Jeidy both of Prairie du Chien; his granddaughters, Lacy (Kurt) Lucey and Mara (Terry) Hird; along with his great grandchildren Bristol and Abbey. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his brothers, Ivan, Arnold, Charles and Max; along with his sisters, Delores and Naomi.

Funeral services will be held graveside on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 11 a.m. at the Wauzeka Cemetery in Wauzeka, with Rev. Lynn Schreck officiating. Military honors will be accorded graveside by the Wauzeka American Legion. The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family.
