Christina "Chrisy" (Lawrence) West
Christina “Chrisy” Jo (Lawrence) West, 46, of Hermitage, Tenn., died unexpectedly at home on April 11, 2014.
She was born in Edgerton, on Feb. 26, 1968 to Ronald and Diane (Osthoff) Lawrence. Some years later, Ron and Diane bought the family farm in Eastman. Chrisy enjoyed many weekends there as a child, helping her parents. She loved taking care of and playing with the animals. She graduated from George S. Parker High School in Janesville on June 13, 1986. She attended UW Rock County and UW Whitewater after high school. On May 6, 1990, she married John Lornson and together they raised two children, Amber and Alec. She later married Jeff West on Aug. 19, 2011. Chrisy was an accomplished musician who could play the flute, piano, guitar, oboe and clarinet. She also loved to sing. She had recently gone back to school to pursue her passion for helping people. She majored in nursing, and then had the privilege of working for a health care facility in Tennessee. Chrisy was like no other. She touched many, many lives and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff West of Hermitage, Tenn.; daughter, Amber Lornson and son Alec Lornson, both of Milton; step-son Trevor Lornson of Brodhead, and step-daughter Korrie West of Cookeville Tenn.; parents Ronald and Diane Lawrence, of Eastman; sister, Lea (John) Discher of Janesville; grandmother, Hazel Akins of Lisbon, Iowa; niece, Dana Jensen of Janesville; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lou Lawrence and John and Carrie Osthoff; aunt, Bonnie Osthoff; “uncle” Phil Schultz; cousins, Mary Jo Greene, Vincent Lawrence and Heather Kelleher.
A memorial service will be held, Saturday, July 26 at the Eastman Salem United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. Luncheon to follow.
