Driver arrested for OWI, 5th offense
On Wednesday, June 18, at approximately 1:30 p.m., while conducting foot patrol in the Seneca Township Deputies of the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department observed a vehicle turn northbound on Main Street from Shortcut Road. The vehicle was operating without its headlights or taillights on. Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle on the side of the road. The vehicle drove within feet of the deputies and continued northbound on Main Street. Deputies observed the vehicle park in a nearby backyard.
Deputies approached the vehicle and found it to be unoccupied. Inside of the vehicle was an open case of beer. Deputies found the driver outside of the residence and made contact with him.
The driver was found to be Chadwick C. Kansier, 38, of Seneca. Kansier exhibited signs of intoxication and was subsequently arrested for operating while under the influence fifth offense.
