Curtis D. Nuehring
Curtis Duanne Nuehring, 70, passed away May 28, 2014, at his home in Camden, Tenn.
A celebration of Curt’s life was Friday, June 6, at Farmersburg Community Center. He was interred at Swede Ridge Cemetery in Northeast Iowa.
Curtis was born on May 29, 1943, in Clayton County to Frederick and Vivian (Canoe) Nuehring.
Curtis was a water well driller for 40 years and then was the City Water Superintendent for Farmersburg and St. Olaf until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia (Palmer) Nuehring of Camden, Tenn.; one son, Kurt F. Nuehring of Evergreen, Colo.; two daughters, Karensa Lee (Choo Y.) of Franklin, Tenn., Shantel Liddy (Joseph) of Indianapolis, Ind.; his mother, Vivian (Canoe) Nuehring of Farmersburg; three sisters, Carol Tuley (Wiley) of Cedar Rapids, Sharon Shurson (Dennis) of Rochester, Minn., Karen Stewart (Daniel) of St. Olaf; four grandchildren, Kathryn Lee, Michael Lee, Carter Liddy and Clayton Liddy.
He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Ronald Nuehring.
