Last season, the MFL MarMac Bulldogs finished with a 5-11 record in the Upper Iowa Conference and an 8-18 overall record, going out in the first round of the state qualifying tournament.

This year, the Josh Mallicoat-led Bulldogs will have to replace power hitting catcher Cody Larson and his 26 RBI and .474 batting average. His replacement will be Tristen Kautman, who had 19 at bats as an eighth grader, hitting .053 last year. Austin Schoulte is back to pitch after a 4-5 sophomore season, in which he averaged over four strikeouts per game. Sam Pfeiffer appeared in five games last year as a pitcher and was 1-1. Andrew Zeeh also had limited innings last season, posting a 7.80 ERA.

The Bulldogs will be without Caleb Schiller, Brandon Burke, Jordan Vorwald and Larson due to graduation. Landon Schultz and Bradye Miller are also out this season.

This team looks hungry and eager to win. Winning is contagious, and, if they start early, they could have an exciting summer.
