Michael J. "Mick" Klema
Michael J. “Mick” Klema, 52, died unexpectedly Friday, May 9, at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in LaCrosse.
He was born Sept. 28, 1961 in Wauzeka, the son of Michael and Edith (Zeeh) Klema. He married Michele Pitzer on June 13, 1987 at St. John’s Church in Prairie du Chien. Mick worked for DH Satellite and later taught a shop class at Wyalusing Academy in Prairie du Chien. He also taught CCD at Holy Family Parish in Prairie du Chien for the past 15 years. Mick was involved with Crawford County Restorative Justice and was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 27 years, Michele Klema of Prairie du Chien; his children, Tabitha (Chris Cornell) Klema of Boscobel, Chase and Cole Klema both of Prairie du Chien; his mother Edith (Marv Martin) Klema of Boscobel; his brothers, Kim (Cinda), Ed and Pete all of Wauzeka, and James of Gainesville, Fla. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 14, at 12 p.m. at St. John’s Church of the Holy Family Parish in Prairie du Chien. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday, May 14, from 10 a.m. until the time of services. The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family.
