CORRECTED: McGregor man faces meth charge

Thomas D. Wiemerslage Jr., 23, of McGregor, faces up to 3.5 years in prison and a $10,000 fine after being charged in Crawford County Circuit Court with one count of possession of methamphetamine.

According to the criminal complaint, a Prairie du Chien police officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Following a search of the vehicle, Wiemerslage admitted to the investigating officer that a white powdery substance found in a folded dollar bill was methamphetamine and that it was his, the complaint said.
