Track team hosts 61st Annual Prairie Relays

The Prairie du Chien track team hosted the 61st Prairie Relays Monday afternoon.

Prairie du Chien finished 10th in the boys meet out of 14 teams with a team total of 19 points. Platteville won with 131.

Prairie du Chien’s Alex Chandler finished second in the 400-meter dash in a time of 53.26. 

Brady Powers took third in the pole vault at 13-0.

The Prairie du Chien team of Nathan Banasik, Adam Groom, Jacob Linder and Nate Nichols was seventh in the 3200 relay in 9:33.38.

The 800 sprint medley team of Tyler Reich, Chen Cheng, Alex Chandler and Brady Powers was seventh in 1:49.42.

Prairie du Chien scored 28 points in the girls meet to finish ninth out of 14 teams. Dodgeville-Mineral Point took first with 130 points.

Claire Bowar took sixth in the 1600-meter run in 6:00.24. 

Brooke Moret was sixth in the 400 in 1:05.20. 

The 800 sprint medley relay team of Megan O’Kane, Karli White, Brooke Moret and Hayley Hemmer was sixth in 2:10.07.

Kierston Sprosty was fifth in the high jump at 4-10.

Olivia Skemp was sixth in the high jump at 31-0. 

Hali Fischer was third in the discus at 105-08. 

Fischer was fifth in the shot put at 32-05.

Prairie du Chien will next host Richland Center and River Valley on April 29.
