Bulldog girls track team competes at Postville relays

The MFL MarMac girls track team traveled to Postville on Tuesday, April 8 for the 11-team Lady Pirate relays. The event was won by Central Elkader, with a score of 126 points. The Bulldogs finished 10th with 16 points.
Haley Vogt finished third in the 100 meter race with a time of 13.41 seconds. Clayton Ridge’s Jasmine Staebler was first at 12.45. The Bulldogs’ Jasmine Stocker tied for seventh at 13.66.
In the 200 meters, Whitney Boots finished 11th with a 33.17 time. Boots then ran the 400 in 1:14:17, which was good for 12 th place. Chaun’te Drahn finished in 8th place with a time of 1:11.69.
In the 800 meters, Drahn finished in 7th place with a 2:53.29 time, and Marissa Lechtenberg was 17th at 3:29.21.
The 4x100 team of Stocker, Marcy Klein, Madelyn Vogt and Hayley Vogt finished fourth with a time of 55.15 seconds. That same team finished in third place in the 4x200 with a 1:59.04 time. The 4x400 team finished 11th with a time of 5:23.22.
The Bulldogs did not enter the 1,500 or 3,000 meters, nor did they enter the hurdles or field events.
Final standings were as follows: Central—126, Crestwood—97, Turkey Valley—80, Clayton Ridge—79, New Hampton—73, Sumner-Fredericksburg—37, Postville—32, West Central Maynard—23, Tripoli—22, MFL MarMac—16, Kee High—3.
