Bulldog Boys finish sixth at Ed-Co relays

On April 8, the Bulldog boys traveled to Edgewood to compete in the Ed-Co relays. The meet was won by North Fayette-Valley with 168 points. The Bulldogs were sixth with 36 points.
In the races, Noah Schultz was fifth in the 100 with a 12.23 time. Jordan Talbot was 11th in the 200 meters. Austin Schoulte was fourth in the 400 meters with a time of 57.94. Sam Pfeiffer was second in the 800 meters with a time of 2:15.96, while Ashton Houg was 11th. Tristen Kautmen and Corbin Gardner did not earn points in the 110 hurdles. Sam Pfeiffer was seventh in the 1,600 meters. Kautmen was fifth in the 400 meter hurdles with a 1:02.96 time.
No points were scored in the discus, long jump or shot put, but Noah Schultz won the high jump with a 5-08.00 jump and Isaac Sauer cleared 5-04.00, which was good for fourth.
The Bulldogs were fifth in 4x100 relay and fourth in the 4x200. The 4x800 team was seventh. In the shuttle hurdle, the Bulldogs were eighth. In the 1,600 distance medley, the Bulldogs finished 11th.
Bulldog boys finish seventh at Postville relays

On April 10, the MFL MarMac boys track team competed at the Foster Kiesau relays in Postville. South Winneshiek won the meet with 139 points, edging out Waukon by 4.5 points. Postville finished third, while the Bulldogs were seventh in the 10-team field.
Noah Schultz finished sixth in the 100 meters with a 12.45 time. Bryce Burke tied for eighth with a 12.74 time.
Isaac Sauer was 10th and Jordan Talbot 11th in the 200 meters.
In the 400, Austin Schoulte was eighth and Kordell DuCharme finished 11th.
Brian Ayers was eleventh in the 800 meters.
Tristen Kautmen was sixth in the 110 hurdles with a 18.40 time. He also finished fifth in the 400 hurdles with 1:04.17 time.
The Bulldogs finished well back in the 1,600 and 3,200 meter races.
In the field events, Gatlin Keehner was fifth in the discus with a 124-01 foot throw. In the high jump, David Bradford was fifth at 5-06 feet and Noah Schultz was tied for sixth at 5-04.25. Isaac Sauer was the best long jumper with a 17-01.25, which was good for tenth. Keehner put the shot at 36-06 feet, but just missed the points, finishing seventh.
The Bulldogs scored most of their points in the relay races. In the 4x100, Bryce Burke, Kautman, Colby Ferguson and Noah Schultz were fifth at 48.49. In the 4x200, the Bulldogs were seventh. The 4x400 team of Schoulte, Cody Mason, Bryce Decker and Sam Pfeiffer ran 3:51.23 and was fourth. The 4x 800 team of Collin Ostert, Bryce McKee, Bryce Decker and Adam Greener was fourth with a time of 10:04.97. Schoulte, Burke, Kautman and Mason won the shuttle hurdle with a 1:05.39. The 1,600 sprint medley relay team of Tanner Kregel, Seth Heying, Bryce Decker and Adam Greener ran a 4:18.71, which was good for fourth place.
The Bulldogs scored 36 points on the evening. April 17 is the scheduled date for the Bulldog relays.
Bulldog boys win at River Ridge meet
MFL MarMac won the boys track meet at River Ridge on Friday, April 11, with a total of 150 points. River Ridge scored 111.5, Cassville 98.5, Seneca 2 and Wauzeka-Steuben 1.
Matt Meyer won the 400 in 56.97.
Sam Pfeiffer won the 800 in 2:18.
Cody Mason won the 100 hurdles in 17.38.
Bryce Burke won the 300 hurdles in 47.66.
The Bulldogs won the 400 relay in 50.80 and the 3200 relay in 9:32.06.
In the field events, Noah Schultz won the high jump at 5-6 and Gatlin Keehner took the shot put at 16-6.5.
