New location for Easter egg hunt

By Shelia Tomkins

The annual Easter egg hunt traditionally held on the grounds of the Guttenberg Care Center will continue this year on Saturday, April 19,  at the fenced-in Rotary park just south of Clayton Ridge High School.

The Guttenberg Rotary Club is parternering with the Guttenberg Care Center to continue the tradition.

“By partnering on this project, Rotary will help continue a great tradition that the Care Center started 35 years ago," said Rotary President Peggy Degnan. "This way the event won’t have to skip this year due to the construction of the new assisted living.  We know that kids and families look forward to this well-established Easter tradition, as well as do the Care Center residents, so now it’s a win-win for everyone."

Plans call for care center residents to prepare the eggs for the hunt as they have in the past.
